I grew up in a time when we did not have to internet and my memory was one of painful endless boredom. As go through middle adulthood I have come to appreciate those moments of doing nothing of my childhood. In a world that has increasingly become noisy and a time when intense hustle is considered a badge of honor. Pablo Neruda’s poem “Keeping Quiet” is a reminder that sometimes silence is the best course of action. We stop ourselves from reacting right away and maybe find that all of our problem’s answers have been right before us.I love that I get to incorporate this meditation into a fountain pen!
