In the Victorian Era, many flowers were used to convey certain messages without ever speaking a word. And the Rose had many a thing it could convey — dark crimson for love and deep affection, white for purity and innocence, pink for gratitude and appreciation, yellow for friendship and joy, and so on.   I think about how we carefully choose which ink to use for which pen, and was reminded of the Victorian Rose. How do colors convey our emotional state when we write?
